David Harvey

Property Manager

David Harvey is one of those rare individuals who has had just a few long term roles in his working life, all of them centring on Property Management.

While Dave is a well-known face in the Gawler area, having played sport for Gawler Central Football, South Gawler football and then been a Dad on the sidelines at local sport, what people may not know is that he started his career with Housing SA, as a fresh-faced 18-year-old.

Leaving the job aged 40, Dave spent 12 months working: “out in the wineries,” to regroup, before accepting another real estate role, this time with a well-known local firm in the Gawler area.

Aside from playing football, Dave said the initial lure for moving to Gawler was wife Debbie’s connection to the area, as a born and bred local and member of Gawler’s Symes family.

Together, Dave and Debbie chose to raise their two children here, with Jackson, now 25 and Claudia, now 23, both former students at Xavier College.

“Gawler is a one-stop shop, it has everything for you, it’s convenient and relaxed,” Dave says.

“It was, I think it still is, a country town where community matters and connection with people matters,” Dave says of his love for the area.

With that in mind, it’s great news that Dave is now joining Ray White Gawler/Willaston, bringing with him a lifetime of experience in Property Management and a dedication to being honest, ethical and employing a common sense approach to his work.

Dave says he’s particularly looking forward to working with the team and making new connections with clients.

Married for 30 years, Dave says he and wife Debbie now share their Evanston Park home with Labradoodle siblings Stan and Evie and enjoy spending time with their busy children, family and friends.

With a new work position and an upcoming coaching role with Gawler Central’s Under 17s for next season, Dave is looking forward to an exciting 2022 to come.
